MIMA center for management excellence had organized one day management development program for managers and executives in banking sector on 11th Feb. 2011 at MITCON institute of management.

The branch managers and other officials from various cooperative banks attended the one day management development program. The program was inaugurated by Dr Ganesh Rao, Director, MITCON Institute of Management. The dean of MITCON, Dr Shubhangi Salokhe, Heads of various departments and faculty members of MITCON were also present for the inauguration of the program.

While addressing the participants, Dr Ganesh Rao, Director stressed upon the need for continuous updating in knowledge by the participants and briefed them about the efforts being initiated by MIMA center for management excellence in this direction. The senior branch manager from nationalized bank and consultants from banking sector were invited to impart the training to the participants.

The trainers covered the important subjects subjects like NPA, EDD, KYC, Credit appraisal, loan documentation during the day and answered the queries of the participants. The feedback was very positive. The suggestions from the participants were sought and being incorporated for the future.

Entrepreneurship & Business Plan Workshop

“Entrepreneurship & Business Plan Workshop” in association with IIT Delhi & Nurture Talent Academy

This workshop was attended by more than 200 participants including working professionals, students and faculties from leading Management, Engineering, Science and Commerce colleges in Pune.

Dr.Ganesh Rao, Director, MITCON Institute of Management while welcoming all the participants said, “We are delighted to be associated with IIT Delhi as well as Nurture Talent Academy - India’s 1st training institute for entrepreneurs for this workshop. This workshop will be an enriching experience for all the participants.”

Dr. Pradeep Bavadekar, Managing Trustee, MITCON Foundation while inaugurating the event said, “The main objective of this workshop is to support budding entrepreneurs in the country, by providing them the right training and mentoring for starting a venture. This workshop will also facilitate students, professionals as well as startups to convert their ideas into viable ventures and foster the entrepreneurial spirit within them.”

In addition the Dean of the institute, Dr. Shubhangi Salokhe, made special efforts towards organizing this informative workshop along with Prof. Visahl Wadajkar, Prof. Shifali Sule and students of Entrepreneurship Development Cell.

Mr. Siva Ramaswami, an intrapreneur and a renowned faculty of Entrepreneurship along with two established entrepreneurs Dr. Sarang and Mr. Surendra Jain delivered the contents as resource persons.

The participants who attended this exclusive workshop were taught several attributes related to “Business Plans” from generating business ideas, to drafting a pitch.

All the participants received a certificate of participation from IIT Delhi.

The seminar was guided by different industry speakers from several prominent organizations such as Dr. P.M. Ghole of NABARD, Mr. Satish Ajane General Manager of Bayer, Dr. Vinay Oswal Director of NAFARI, Mr. Abhijeet Joshi, Vice President KF Bioplant Pune, Dr. V.H. Kshirsagar,MD Katraj Dairy Pune, Mr. Sunil patil, Dy. General Manager Finolex Plastro/Irrigation Pune and Dr. V. R. Hingane, Director Dr. B.V. Rao institute of Poultry Management & Technology Pune.

They shared their knowledge & views about the different topics related to Challenges & Opportunities in Agri Credit, Agro Chemicals, Food Processing, Tissue culture, Micro Irrigation, Floriculture & Poultry Business.

The Department of Agribusiness Management at MITCON provided a platform for industry academia interaction at a professional level and achieved the aim to spread the awareness of future prospects in Agribusiness management sector.

The thoughts initiated at the summit on the future of the Banking & Financial sector and career options in India, will go a long way in developing new perspectives in the industry.
